Course Content
The aim of the course is to describe historically what a social policy is and its main dimensions of variation, in connection with the emergence of social problems and of new social risks; the main features of Italian welfare state are described in comparison with other European welfare regimes. The second part examines the main sector policies, more or less grounded in welfare regimes: income support and pension policies, activation and health policies but also housing policies and services
