The meaning of culture. Forms and components of culture. Ideology, common sense and religion. Public sphere and public opinion. Culture and social stratification. Learning Objectives
Students have to be able to menage different and fundamental concepts about culture faced during the course. Students must acquire specific knowledges of why modern societies are chatacterised by cultural differentation and how this influences individual action and social life. Obviously, students must be able to link concepts acquired during lessons to social concepts and specific current social issues.

Type of Assessment
The written exam will consist of a questionnaire with 8
multiple-choice questions and in writing two 45 lines texts.
During the oral exam the student must deepen the different topics of the course.
